It's really hard to believe that not too long ago, Wakesurfing was foreign to me.  In fact, I was completely oblivious about the sport until my husband bought us a surf boat, in the spring of 2015, and showed me an Internet video of what wakesurfing was.

One lesson with WakesurfAZ, and I was hooked!  This sport should've come with warning because this stuff is addictive!  Not knowing much about surfboards, Angie and Mike Viland were happy to help and hooked me up with the best board out there, a Soulcraft, and I wouldn't trade it for anything!  I love how light and responsive my board feels, like it's just an extension of me.  Somehow, I found time to practice, (being a mom of four takes up so much time!) and a month and a half later, I was encouraged to enter competitions.

My first competitive season (2015) ended with a 3rd place win at the World Wakesurfing competition.  A year and a half later, I finished number one in the Outlaw division (2016) and I'm entering at the pro level for 2017.  It's been a whirlwind, but the people I've met and the experiences I've had, have changed my life and I couldn't be happier!  I'm so blessed to have incredible support from my husband, family, friends, and Soulcraft!
